I've been hard at work on the August issue of Game On! Magazine. It should be out by the end of next week and I think this is going to be a great one.
What can you expect? The cover story about voice acting and AI has expanded into a package of stories. You'll read about where things stand with the SAG-AFTRA strike, why voice actors say AI is an existential threat and you'll hear from an actress who has personal experience about how AI can affect actors.
This issue will also feature a story on MrBeast filming in Las Vegas. I'm sure many of you have seen some of the reports on social media. I spoke to someone who took part in the video about what really went on during the shoot.
In addition, you'll read a profile on Khaleed Thomas. To a generation of people (myself included), you'll remember him as Zero in the movie adaptation of "Holes." Thomas is making moves in the gaming space and has big plans for the future.
This month's issue will also feature photos from Evo 2024 from photographer Jesus Hernandez. He did a great job capturing some amazing moments from the event. You can see some of his work here.
Keeping with the fighting game theme, you'll also see a preview of "Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves."
You'll also see a story on the Global Gaming League, a new league that held its first event at the HyperX Arena inside the Luxor. You'll hear from multiple people from the star-studded event, including T-Pain, Jermaine Dupri and Soulja Boy.
Finally, this month sees the first Kickstarter Backer profile. I'm excited to share some of their stories with you as time goes on!
